A fast paced but informative 2 hours, providing some great tips of how to make the perfect sourdough loaf. From starter, to making a dough, learning about the proving process and the importance of activating the gluten and creating the “window”, to shaping and scoring your loaves. Highly recommend!
The class exceeded my expectations. Julian was a fantastic teacher, covering all the fundamentals while also sharing more in-depth knowledge and answering questions of the participants with some baking experience. If you've learned to bake from books or YouTube, this class will open you up to a different process and way of thinking about baking sourdough bread. If it doesn't carry over to my home-baking I'll have to come back and rescind my review - but I'm confident that won't be necessary!
Excellent class from a knowledgeable expert. I've been making my own at home for a year without much guidance and I got a lot of tips to improve the outcome - ones that I haven't seen on the usual YouTube videos etc. Plus the starter to take home was excellent (along with quite a few delicious loaves!). My friend was a complete beginner and really enjoyed it.
