Not only did I thoroughly enjoy this course, I needed it. Like so many others, I tried to teach myself how to bake sourdough bread via YouTube. I attended the course because my loaves were disappointing. During the course, I found out why. I was doing multiple things wrong. Before, you could hit one of my sourdough loaves with a tennis racquet and you might even score a point. Now, my loaves look shop-bought.
I recently attended the sourdough making course at Bourke Street Bakery as a birthday gift for my mum, and it was absolutely fantastic! The class was incredibly well-run, informative, and hands-on. We both had such a great time learning the process from scratch, guided by passionate and knowledgeable instructors. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, and we left not only with our own sourdough starter and so much bread, but with the confidence to keep baking at home. Our instructror was a PROFESSIONAL from start to finish and a true master in all things baking!
